Dispute and Settlement Negotiations Concerning a Large IT Project
We successfully represented an IT system supplier and a financial consultant in a dispute and settlement negotiations concerning a large technological transformation project and IT system acquisition. The total value of the dispute was EUR 0.5 million.
To find an amicable solution to the extensive dispute, the parties engaged in settlement negotiations and court mediatation. Eventually, the parties reached an amicable settlement to the full satisfaction of our client and thus the parties avoided the costs and risks of an extensive trial with cross-border evidence received outside Europe, and a possible arbitration.
A key factor to avoid similar disputes is to reserve enough time and resources for transformation projects. Advance planning is often a key to favourable results in disputes as well. When the contract is clear, it has been complied with on both sides and the organisation is prepared for any disputes, the project has better chances of success.
In addition to successfully handling similar types of disputes, we have extensive experience in assisting with IT and other arrangements and outsourcing projects, as well as in various negotiation situations.
