Kuljetusliike Taipale Oy acquired Tavarakiito Oy

The Kaukokiito owner-operator Kuljetusliike Taipale Oy has acquired the Nokia-based company Tavarakiito Oy. Tavarakiito Oy has been a long-standing member of the Kaukokiito network, operating in the Northern and Upper Pirkanmaa regions. The company has offices in Nokia and Virrat. Through the acquisition, Taipale will expand by 24 employees and 18 vehicles.

Jyväskylä-based transportation company Kuljetusliike Taipale Oy was established in 1946 and remains under the ownership of the founding family. Taipale is an owner-operator within the Kaukokiito network, with its cargo transport operations covering Central Finland, Kanta-Häme, and the Helsinki metropolitan area. Its food and crane transport services operate nationwide.
Tavarakiito Oy traces its roots back to 1928, when transport operators Alhonen and Lastunen initiated freight line services from Ponsa to Tampere. The company has been operating under its current name since 1992, when its fleet and personnel were transferred to Tavarakiito Oy.
